The Ainpars and Augpars Past

Unlike every other race on Erasure I can not talk about the Aipar and Augpar separately. For all of their histories these twin races have grown together. They reside in the Concra Jungles in the north of Escaria. While I was uncovering some of their past I found a large portion has either been forgotten about or has been suppressed by their leaders.

All we know is that at some point in the past the Ainpar and Augpar did not get along as well as they currently do. Though for the last few centuries they have been inseparable, with only one major distinction between the two groups.

The Ainpar when translated to Erasure’s common tongue roughly means Beast Man. The Ainpar bear a strong resemblance to animals. The specific animal changes from person to person but it is almost always instantly noticeable. Some have a furry coat over their skin, while others might have antlers or tails. A few have even been seen with wings.

While on the other hand Augpar roughly translates to Plant Man. The Augpar all have some florae based traits. Barky skin, leaves for hair. Some have flowers that sprout into fruits that all grow from their skin.

The level of bodily changes is different for both of the races. Some individuals are so changed that they are pretty much conscious trees or cats. While others might just have one small change to their bodies like the eyes of a bird or bleeding sap instead of blood.

For all their differences these two groups do everything in their power to help each other. I ask around for the reason for this. I was given only one real answer apart from why shouldn’t I help others. I was told to go to a nearby temple. There I was told a story by one of the priests.

Back in the 5th century when the Empire of Zyna began to fall their god Zviroupar descended from the tree of life Cereblemuos. Zviroupar came down from his seat among the heavens and commanded the two races to cease their bickering and build a city in his name. A place for all to come and share ideas. This city became known as Zvirou or Unity. Zviro was “prophesied” by both of the races. The only one to unite them would have traits of both houses. When Zvirou descended he reportedly had bark for skin, and the dawn of a duck peeking out from underneath his cracking bark.

All hostilities ceased immediately and they all began to follow his commands.Apparently from that day on Zviroupar has provided guidance for the Ainpar and Augpar from his throne among the cloud at the peak of Cereblemuos. I asked the priest if anyone has seen their GOd since, he looked at me for a long while in thought before responding. “The high Priest of the Ainpar and the Priestess of the Augpar have both seen him. Before that was the hero, Bread the Baker.”

I tried to ask the priest more questions but he brushed me off, he had some sermon to give to his followers he had to prepare for. Following this I began to start some more research about the past of the Ainpar and Augpar. It seemed that they were trying to hide some dark secret about themselves from the rest of the world and I couldn’t leave without knowing it.

At least that was until I started getting followed by some less than savory individuals. It seemed that looking into their past might be bringing out the worst in them. I guess I should leave sooner than I would’ve hoped to. The more distance I put between myself and the Concra Jungles the better. So I’m going to make my way to the southern edge of the continent to the city of Aslaskia in the Southern tundras of Escaria. I just hope that whoever is following me doesn’t try anything till I’m out of the jungles. Stuff falling Stay away Nonoon—
